Project Highlights

Iris Rd backyard berry slope and tea garden summer 2020:

Every plant has either edible flowers for tea or berries to eat, with a few artichokes too! Cedar trellises were installed to make use of the vertical space on the house and retaining wall for edible vines. We built custom self-watering herb boxes situated right outside the kitchen door

Chartwell Drive full yard renovation spring 2020:

A new pollinator-friendly front lawn, raised bed food forest, specialty tea gardens, and shady woodland gardens with a custom flagstone patio.

Moss Street urban food forest 2019:

The full lot was redesigned to include 250 species of fruit trees, perennial and annual foods, and herbal medicinals on a 50×150 ft city lot.

Dunsmuir Rd, 2016:

A front yard mini food forest and pollinator garden including three dwarf fruit trees. Renowned biodiversity advocate Vandana Shiva was once a guest here and enjoyed the garden.

Urban Permaculture Design 2003:

A vintage design for a young couple’s first home with room for annual vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruit trees and tea herbs

Silverton, B.C. family keyhole gardens 1998:

On the terrace surrounding the home are abundant first-year vegetable and edible flower gardens for integrated pest management and beauty. There was so much food it was being given away by the shopping bag full!
